Nvidia announces the best graphics card EVER!

It took months of speculation and a few leaks, but Nvidia finally revealed its next-generation RTX 4080 and RTX 4090 GPUs at GTC 2022.

Nvidia’s 4000-Series GPUs will push graphics processing to the next level with its new Ada Lovelace architecture, largely living up to expectations despite being light on serious detail—as you might expect for a first reveal.

Nvidia’s RTX 4090 GPU is finally here

The RTX 4090 will be the most powerful GPU that the company makes. The RTX 4090 will go on sale on October 12, 2022, for $1,599. Also, the RTX 4090 will come out with 24GB of GDDR6X memory. Nvidia says that its new flagship GPU will be two to four times faster than the RTX 3090 Ti, which was the previous top-of-the-line GPU.

Furthermore, the RTX 4090 will have an incredible 16,384 CUDA cores and a boost clock of up to 2.52GHz. All of this requires a significant amount of power, with the new RTX 4090 launching with a 450W TDP—the same as the RTX 3090 Ti, but with nearly twice the memory and processing power.

Finally, the 24GB RTX 4090 will include Nvidia’s vastly improved DLSS 3.0, which should vastly improve overall processing and functionality.

Nvidia launches the RTX 4000 series

You won’t have to wait long to be able to buy an Nvidia 4000-Series GPU. The RTX 4090 will be released on October 12, and if everything goes well, the RTX 4080 GPUs will come out about a month later, in November 2022.

The success of Nvidia’s new GPUs is important for the company, especially since many people said the last generation wasn’t powerful enough. It looks like Nvidia has fixed this problem with the RTX 4080, which has a minimum of 12GB GDDR6X, and the RTX 4090, which has a whopping 24GB GDDR6X.

Now, we need to see how the RTX 4000 GPUs from Nvidia do in real-world tests. Even though it’s easy to see why people are excited about the new GPUs, Nvidia’s presentation was surprisingly short on benchmarking information. First-party benchmarking should always be taken with a grain of salt, but it would have been nice to have some numbers.
